Stephanie Frappart , 38 years old, seems to be no stranger to smashing through obstacles.

In 2020, Stephanie Frappart was the first woman to officiate a men's Championship League match.

Frappart is one of three female referees named for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. 

The 2020 Olympic Games were also overseen by the Japanese match referee Yoshimi.

Salima Mukansanga, a referee from Rwanda, will be one of the three female officials overseeing the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

The most well-known name on the lineup and the match official for Qatar 2022 is Stephanie Frappart.

Three of the 69 assistant referees at the World Cup will be women: Neuza Back, Karen Diaz Medina, and Kathryn Nesbitt.
