Biden’s granddaughter Naomi Biden will wed Peter Neal at the White House.

Naomi Biden, the granddaughter of President Joe Biden, and Peter Neal, her fiancé, were planning to wed on Saturday, celebrating the 19th wedding to take place at the White House.

With temperatures expected to reach the high 30s, Naomi Biden and Neal were exchanging vows at their ceremony at 11 a.m.

on the South Lawn, which has been transformed for the first time into a wedding location.

It's also the first marriage between a president's granddaughter and a bride at the White House.

On Friday, as event organisers started setting up, the South Lawn was covered in number of white folding chairs and rental vehicles were parked on the driveway.

White flower garlands and wreaths were being used to decorate the South Portico of the White House.

Their oldest grandchild's wedding was hosted by President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden.

Naomi Biden, 28, wore a long-sleeved, high-neck dress with a veil covering her back-combed hair. Neal, 25, wore a three-piece suit in navy blue with a double-breasted vest.
