Kate's Heartfelt Tribute: during the first Christmas without Queen

Cyril Ramaphosa was welcomed to the UK at Buckingham Palace for the state banquet.

As a honor to her late mother-in-law, Kate wore the Cambridge Lovers Knot tiara, a favourite of Princess Diana.

In honour of the late Queen, who passed away in September, she also wore a bracelet and brooch.

The family will reportedly be "less formal" than normal for the holidays.

Diana's "favourite" tiara was the one Kate wore at the state dinner.

The tiara was created by Garrard in 1914 for Queen Mary. The tiara is a copy of one Princess Augusta of Hesse-Kassel, Queen Mary's grandmother, wore.

This tiara has been worn by the Princess previously. In October 2018, the Princess wore it at a state dinner where she was accompanied by Prince William and the late Queen Elizabeth II.

He said that Kate was in touch with the late queen "every single day." Prior to September 8, Kate and William were the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
